IJM Construction completed a comprehensive reroof and internal upgrade of the two-storey library at Hastings Boys’ High School.

The project involved stripping the existing roof, installing new trusses, metal roofing and a TPO membrane system, replacing soffits and rainwater systems, upgrading lighting and electrical services, and completing internal ceiling repairs and painting.

With more than 700 students on an active school site, careful planning, communication and strict safety procedures were critical. The building remained fully weathertight throughout construction, with the entire project completed in just eight weeks ahead of the wetter winter months.

The library building at Hastings Boys' High School now has a fully replaced roof, and the students inside it are learning in a safe, dry environment. For Gary, the outcome was exactly what he'd hoped for. "I'd definitely work with the IJM team again. They stand by their work, and they work with you."
