Project Spotlight | Custom Built New Home
Clydesdale Way
New Home Builders • Hawke's Bay •
There's a reason building beats buying. Done right, all the extra details make your home better to live in, and they'll show up in the quality, desirability, and value of the home too. Designed and built by IJM Construction, this Frimley family home has a little more character than most, finished with the kind of details you don’t often see in a new build. Four bedrooms, two living areas, a home office, large open-plan living area… it already ticks every box for a seriously good family home.
But it was the extras that made the difference. A smart home system that quite literally gave the house a brain, the soaring 5m high ceiling, bespoke American oak flooring, and even a secret loft converted into a music and play room where the kids could hang out and bash away on the drumkit.
“This was a house we would've been happy calling home for years.”
Our Recent Local Projects
From century-old character homes on Hospital Hill to new builds in Frimley and even major commercial projects in Napier, IJM Construction’s recent work can be seen right across Hawke’s Bay.

"We were pretty nervous about choosing a builder..."
Marie Fryer
As first time renovators we were pretty nervous about choosing a builder and even deciding what to do to improve our much loved old villa. But the team at IJM were there by our side the whole way and made the whole project a success. We love what they have done. From the start Israel showed a real interest in the house and us and knew his stuff when it came to renovating these types of houses.
Your Build Has Our Name Stamped On It Forever.
Our 15+ Year Reputation Is Something You Can Trust.
With your money and our reputation on the line, delivering a project every bit as good as you imagined is worth obsessing over.
Israel McNabb brings more than 20 years of hands-on building experience, including 14+ years leading IJM Construction and the exceptional local team behind it.
For you, that means having someone at the centre of your project who owns it from day one, obsesses over the details, and cares about the finish as much as you do.
Because when it’s your home, “good enough” isn’t good enough. We stake our reputation on it being worth every dollar of your investment.
